French Producer Aalson Graces Purified Records with Daylight EP

Renowned for his deep and powerful creations, chartered on imprints including Spectrum, This Never Happened and Purified Records, French producer Aalson returns to Purified with his explorative three-track Daylight EP.

The title track encapsulates the magic of daylight in sonic form, blending gentle instrumentation and glowing synths across flowing basslines. Moving into Echoes Of Dawn, nature samples are paired with breakbeat patterns to achieve a poignant and touching atmosphere. Closing with Dreamland, Aalson builds a cinematic arrangement that fuses classical and contemporary elements to dramatic effect.

Speaking about the release, Aalson mentioned:

The Daylight EP is an exploration of the different ways I use the piano in my productions and play with the different lights it brings to a piece of music. I wanted to offer three different axes of my music with the piano as the centerpiece, including a melodic house 4/4 track (representing daylight), then a breakbeat (representing the light of dawn) and finally, a fully cinematic project (representing the blurred light of a dream).” – Aalson.

Passionate about film music and techno, Aalson creates his own universe by crossing these two strong influences. Guided by his feelings, he developed a personal taste and a subtle approach to production, loaded with feelings along the years. With his releases on Spectrum, Purified and Sinners, he has defined his style and offers an expressive sonic journey of rare power. His live show will tell you a story worthy of a movie, finding the sweet spot between melancholy and epic moments.

The Daylight EP artwork showcases a magnificent shot of a humpback whale gliding through the ocean. Humpback whales are known for their long migrations, traveling up to 16,000 miles annually between feeding and breeding grounds. These whales are also famous for their complex songs, which can last for hours and are thought to play a role in communication and mating.
