With Malevolent Forces, Nightcrawler opens a window into one of his most focused and introspective creative periods. Born from a phase of near-isolation and total immersion in sound, the EP channels the instability of the world outside — social, digital, emotional — and transforms it into raw, rhythmic tension. Tracks like Corrupted System and R.U.S.H. carry a street-level urgency, but also a surprising clarity: anger sharpened by awareness, chaos shaped into motion. Influenced by the contrasts of the city he inhabits — calm vs. noise, order vs. disorder — Nightcrawler crafts a journey that moves naturally from confrontation to release, balancing cinematic detail with the physical impact of club energy. As the industrial and darkwave revival gains momentum, Malevolent Forces positions him as a voice pushing the genre forward, and hinting at a wave of new music and collaborations still to come.

Malevolent Forces sounds like it comes from a very personal space. What was happening in your life while you made it?

I was in a very intense creative phase. Not chaotic, but very focused almost isolated. That state of being fully inside the music gave the EP its tone.

There’s a raw, street-level tension in Corrupted System. Was it inspired by real-world chaos?

Yes, definitely. It comes from watching how everything feels unstable lately socially, digitally, emotionally. The track is that tension turned into rhythm.

R.U.S.H. hits hard but feels emotionally intelligent — like it’s angry and aware at the same time. Is that a fair reading?

Very fair. It’s frustration, but also clarity. It’s the moment when you realize you’re overwhelmed but you keep moving anyway.

How does the city you live in influence your sound?

The city gives me contrast: calm and noise, order and chaos. I pick up those opposites and turn them into rhythm and atmosphere.

The EP feels like a journey from confrontation to release. Was that structure intentional?

Not planned, but it happened naturally. The tracks reflected my mood at each moment, and the EP ended up feeling like a progression.

When you perform these tracks live, do you adapt them to the energy of the crowd or keep their cinematic integrity?

Live shows are a different world. I keep the essence, but I push the tracks harder so they hit with more physical impact.

What’s your view on the current industrial and darkwave revival?

It’s exciting. There’s a new generation bringing fresh ideas while keeping the raw spirit alive. It feels like the scene is evolving again.

What’s next for Nightcrawler after Malevolent Forces?

More and more music...and exiting collabs...
