The Icedancer EP sees Kay Chi and Sharlese continuing their exploration of hybrid Italo and modern club dynamics. What stands out most is the discipline. Nothing feels ornamental—every element contributes to movement.

“Icedancer” itself is driven by its hook, which loops with hypnotic efficiency over a tightly wound percussive structure. It’s powerful without becoming oppressive, maintaining lift where lesser productions would default to weight.

Freudenthal and Saeuer take a more overtly euphoric route on remix duties. Their piano-led interpretation leans into classic house emotionality while preserving the original’s sense of forward tension. It’s the kind of genre-blending that feels instinctive rather than strategic.

The closing cut introduces a darker tonal register. “Makes Me Feel Special” trades immediacy for atmosphere, allowing its synth textures to stretch into more cinematic territory.
