Why Sapian’s Unreleased Music Is Already Creating a Buzz

For many electronic artists, recognition begins with an official release. For Sapian, some of the strongest reactions to his music are happening before the tracks are even available.

The clearest example is “Takes Me”, one of the producer’s most requested IDs at the moment. The track has been circulating through DJ sets and videos, with listeners trying to identify the production and find out when they will finally be able to hear the complete version.

This kind of organic anticipation has an important part of modern club culture. DJs often test unreleased productions in their sets, allowing tracks to build an audience long before a release date is announced. When the reaction is strong enough, the ID can almost as talked about as an official single.

That is exactly what appears to be happening with “Takes Me”.

Sapian is already receiving support from a strong group of established artists, including Prospa, Josh Baker, Cloonee, Sosa, Omar+, Mau P and Rossi. His music has consequently started travelling through different corners of the international house and tech house scene.

At the same time, Sapian is preparing a series of official releases that will provide another boost to his profile.

On August 14, he will release “Reason Why” through Prophecy, adding a new original production to his growing catalogue. The track arrives at a particularly important point in his development, following increased attention from DJs and listeners.

Then, on August 28, Sapian will release his remix of CamelPhat’s “So Good” through When Stars Align. The project gives him the chance to put his own production style on a track from one of the most established names in contemporary electronic music.

The contrast between these upcoming releases and the mystery surrounding “Takes Me” makes Sapian’s current campaign particularly interesting.

While “Reason Why” and the CamelPhat remix offer listeners officially released material, “Takes Me” continues to build its reputation from the dancefloor upwards.

For Sapian, that combination could be extremely valuable. The audience is already interested in what he has released — and, perhaps more importantly, in what he has yet to release.
